How to watch Michigan football recruiting class in 2021


— Michigan is recruiting a number of top prospects for its new football staff.

The Wolverines have announced a handful of commitments from three-star linebacker Shaquill Williams, four-star defensive end Isaiah Buggs, and three-stars linebacker Michael O’Connor, the first two of whom were both recruited by the Wolverines.

He is the No. 3 overall player in the class of 2021 and No. 4 inside linebacker in the country.

Williams was rated the No, 22 inside linebacker by and No, 33 outside linebacker by Scout, while Bugges was the No., 27 inside linebacker.

The 6-foot-2, 252-pounder is ranked the No 10 outside linebacker in this class and No 20 inside linebacker overall.

O’Connors is a four the No 19 inside linebacker and No 24 outside linebacker and was rated a three-day commitment by 247Sports.

Williams is the fifth player from the Wolverine recruiting class and the fifth commit to the Wolverins’ 2018 class, which also includes linebacker Justin Mack, defensive tackle Aaron Williams, and wide receiver Deon Cain.

Williams has a 4.5 rating, which is the highest of any Michigan defensive lineman and third highest of anyone in the Wolverovs’ class.

He has a grade of 76.6, which places him in the 94th percentile of defensive linemen.

O’Connor is the fourth Michigan defensive tackle to sign with the Wolveras, joining fellow defensive tackle Kevin Coughlin, wide receiver DaeSean Hamilton, and defensive end Dontre Wilson.

OConnor has a four rating, the second highest of the four defensive tackles in the 2019 class.


Connor has graded out as the No 1 overall prospect in the 2018 class by 247 Sports.

He was ranked as a five-star recruit by Rivals and the No 3 defensive tackle in the state of Michigan.

Wilson was a four star recruit from the 2017 class by Scout and was ranked the nation’s No. 13 outside linebacker.

He also was ranked No. 24 outside linebackers by 247, and No 18 inside linebackers by Scout in the 2017 recruiting cycle.

Hamilton was ranked by 247 as a three star recruit in the Class of 2021, the No 11 outside linebacker, and was a five star recruit by ESPN and 247 Sports in the 2021 recruiting cycle, per Rivals.

Wilson is ranked as the 4-star prospect in this year’s class by Rivals, the nation, and Scout.

He had a grade that was the highest among Michigan defensive tackles and No 16 inside linebackers, according to ESPN.

Williams and O’Connor were both ranked in the top five outside linebackers in the nation by 247.

The Michigan linebacker is No. 2 on the team’s depth chart behind Mack, and is the team leader in tackles for loss.
