FSU is continuing to promote its new recruiting coordinator, Jim McBridge, as it prepares to open its new football facility.
The new football complex will be open for football practices in the spring of 2019, with the next scheduled practice in fall 2020.
McBridge has worked in recruiting for five decades, including at Georgia, Alabama, Texas, Auburn and Florida.
He has worked for FSU since 1977.
McBridge was also a part of FSU’s successful transition from a football team to a basketball team, which included the formation of the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2020.FSU’s new football stadium, the Georgia Dome, opened in 2018, with McBridge helping build the new stadium.
He is the first African-American to serve as the football team’s head coach.
