A few weeks ago, the Huskies announced that they were adding a third class in a little over a year.
Today, we have more details on their recruiting class.
The Huskies added four new commits, bringing their total to six, and the first three are listed below:* The top five commits will compete at the 2015 NFL Draft.
All four of the players who will be vying for that spot will have their names added to the list.* QB Jacoby Brissett (Syracuse, 6-2, 200) is listed as the fourth player in the class.
He will compete for the starting QB spot, which is open at quarterback.* LB Darryl Jackson (Tulsa, 6, 196) is the fifth player in their class.
Jackson will compete with junior defensive end Deandre Johnson and senior defensive tackle Dwayne McDaniel.* S Marcus Williams (Sterling, 6’2, 203) is in the final year of his senior season, and is the son of former Huskies linebacker Marcus Williams.
He is ranked as the nation’s No. 6 safety by 247Sports.* OL Nick Kline (Sydney, 6′, 250) is also in the running to replace Williams.
Kline, who was a three-star recruit in May, has been working out for the past couple of weeks and is slated to be the Husky’s starting left tackle in the fall.
He could also play defensive end.* WR Marcus Lattimore (Stony Brook, 6′-1, 189) will compete in the 2016 NFL Draft, but will not compete.
He would compete for a starting job with sophomore wide receiver Jordan Reed.* The Huskies have added six players who are committed to the 2017 recruiting class: DL Joe Fortunato (Duke, 6′) (7-1, 235), DE Austin Johnson (Sylvania, 6′), (6-1 and 242), WR Tyler Murphy (North Carolina, 6-, 233), DE Cameron Smith (Sarasota, 6′,’ 235), RB Zach Brown (South Dakota, 6.5’2”), RB Chris Davis (Tulane, 6-.
