Which UT football recruits are the best at?

The top Texas football recruits who are still in college are still making their mark on the program.

The Longhorns, ranked No. 10 nationally in the latest recruiting rankings released Monday, are now tied for first place with five different commits.

Here are the top five Longhorns to watch in 2019:1.

Jalen Tabor, DE, UTEPThe 6-foot-5, 320-pound defensive lineman is ranked No, 6 on 247Sports’ top 150 list, ahead of four-star quarterback Dontre Wilson, three-star defensive tackle Darryl Smith and four-stars linebacker Jake Thomas and Kaleb Johnson.

He is the only four-year commit in UTEP history.

He’s a redshirt sophomore.2.

Davion Jackson, DE/OLB, Texas TechThe 5-foot, 195-pound outside linebacker is rated as the No. 3 prospect in the state by Rivals.

He will be eligible to play immediately, but will not begin enrolling until July.

He was ranked No., 8 on the recruiting rankings.3.

Garrett Covington, DE Jr., Texas A&MThe 6, 320, 3-star linebacker is ranked as the top defensive end in the Big 12 and the No, 2 prospect in Texas by 247Sports.

He signed with Texas A &M in June, and will be considered a commitment until the start of 2019.4.

Kris Boyd, DL, ArkansasThe 5.5-foot 4-star outside linebacker out of the University of Tennessee is ranked the No., 5 prospect in Arkansas and No. 15 overall in the nation by 247sports.

He announced his commitment last week.5.

Bryan Davis, DE Sr., Texas Tech Davis is a three-time All-SEC selection, earning a spot in the College Football Hall of Fame in 2019.

He chose Texas Tech over other programs, including Alabama, Missouri and Ole Miss.

He committed to the school in June.6.

Kerwin Johnson, DL Jr., AlabamaJohnson is ranked a five-star prospect in 247Sports and the eighth-best outside linebacker in the country by Rivals, according to ESPN.

He has committed to Alabama.7.

Rashard Higgins, OLB, LSUThe 6 3/8, 325-pound linebacker is the No 1 defensive end recruit in the class of 2019 by Rivals and the top outside linebacker nationally by 247 Sports.

He went No. 8 on ESPN’s Top 150 list.8.

Devin Harris, OL, AuburnThe 6 5/8-inch, 290-pound offensive lineman is the top tackle in the 2019 class by 247 and the fifth-best guard prospect in Alabama.

He also is rated the No 7 offensive tackle in Alabama by 247.

He made his commitment to Auburn in June and is expected to enroll in 2019 and begin playing in 2018.9.

Dante Williams, DL Sr., LSUWilliams, a three, four-time SEC All-Freshman Team selection, is ranked among the top 10 inside linebackers in the 2018 recruiting class by Rivals with a No. 13 ranking.

He decommitted to LSU in March.10.

Jahri Evans, OL Jr., LSUEvans is a five, three-, four-timers-rated offensive tackle, according of 247Sports, and a five-, three-, five-stars-rated outside linebacker, according the 247Sports Composite.

He broke his leg in December and is currently recovering from surgery on his right knee.11.

Lane Brown, CB, Texas The 5-9, 185-pound cornerback is ranked by 247 sports as the fourth-best player in the Texas class by ESPN and the 11th-best prospect nationally.

He could be the Longhorns best player in 2019, according in 247 Sports Composite rankings.12.

Quentin Tate, CB Sr., USCThe 6’0, 195, 3/4-star cornerback is the 6th-ranked player in USC’s 2019 class according to Rivals, 247Sports rankings and Scout.

He took a visit to the Trojans in July, and is likely to enroll immediately.13.

Ricardo Brown, DL Fr., FloridaThe 6′-0, 220-pound inside linebacker out from Florida is ranked in the top 15 prospects nationally by Rivals (No. 10), 247Sports (No, 17), Scout (No., 21), Scout.com (No) and 247Sports 247.

The Gators have committed four four- and five-year commitments, but the four-and-five-star prospects are in the process of decommitment.14.
