UCLA: ‘I’m going to go and do my job, because I know I’m good enough to win’

UCLa basketball recruiters are going to get a much-needed boost after Alabama’s Lonnie Walker III admitted Thursday he’s planning to leave Alabama for Texas.

Walker is ranked No. 2 on Rivals’ recruiting rankings, according to the website.

Walker has said he’ll play for the Longhorns next season.

Walker, a 6-foot-8 guard, is rated as the No. 1 overall recruit in the country and the No, 4-star prospect nationally, according the website Rivals.com.

Texas is one of two Power 5 conference programs Walker is considering, according a source with knowledge of the situation.

Walker’s departure comes after Alabama released two recruits: guard Jalen Jackson and guard Malik Jefferson, according on Twitter.
