Which Syracuse basketball player is most likely to sign a new contract with the team?

By Josh CohenPosted May 15, 2018 12:25AMCLEVELAND (AP) Syracuse’s Chris Babbitt has turned down an offer to join the Cavaliers.

Babbitt’s agent, Tom Dickey, says the 6-foot-7 guard will not sign with the Cavs and will instead explore other options in the NBA.

Babitt, a first-round pick of the Heat in the 2018 NBA draft, has played in 12 games this season and averaged 3.4 points and 1.3 rebounds.

He has averaged 3-plus points and 2-plus rebounds in nine of the team’s 13 games.

He missed a pair of games with a bruised right knee in the second half of last season’s NCAA tournament.
