Florida Gators recruiting staff is hiring for new position

The recruiting team of Florida Gators offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo has hired for the position of recruiting office manager, the school announced Thursday.

DeGuglio’s new role comes a day after Florida’s recruiting office fired former offensive line coaches Mike Bohn and Joe Foyt in a wide-ranging scandal.

DeLonge, who was fired in March, had been with the Gators since 2012 and had been at the team’s offensive line recruiting office since 2007.

He was named offensive line coordinator in 2016 and coached the line for seven seasons.

The Gators said he would be in charge of recruiting the school’s underclassmen, including underclassman tight end Luke Stocker.

DeGugello was previously the offensive line director for the University of Florida and spent time as a graduate assistant under Jim McElwain in the mid-2000s.

He previously served as the offensive lineman coach at Georgia State, the Georgia Bulldogs and Miami.
